Financial Controller
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor transactions to detect and investigate potentially suspicious activity in line with AML policies and FCA regulations
  • Conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) and risk assessments for high-risk clients and complex cases
  • Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the relevant authorities (e.g., NCA)
  • Maintain and update internal AML policies, procedures, and controls
  • Collaborate with the KYC team and other departments to ensure robust anti-money laundering practices
  • Stay informed of current trends, typologies, and regulatory updates related to financial crime
  • Assist in AML training and awareness programs across the organization
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory reviews as needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in fintech, banking, or payments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and BPMN modeling
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills — able to work across technical and non-technical teams
  • Knowledge of financial products, payments infrastructure, or regulatory frameworks (FCA, AML, KYC) is a plus
